Drawn from the British country house interior.
A lot of the inspiration for DRAYTON comes from my girlfriend's family. They're all designers, with houses full of historical fabrics, antiques and thick design books I spend hours going through. There's a kind of room where the curtains match the upholstery, the toile has been on the walls longer than anyone can remember, and nothing feels like it was ever consciously chosen, it just accumulated, over generations. That's the reference point.
Toile de Jouy came directly from that world. A print with an inherent nostalgia to it, the kind that feels like it's always been part of the furniture. DRAYTON takes that and puts it on cotton poplin, cut and made in London.
Meet Bede
Before DRAYTON, there was an archive. For years I ran a vintage shop and slowly built up a collection, shirts, jackets, trousers, pieces that had been worn, repaired and lived in. What stayed with me wasn't trends or rarity, just how well certain things were made and how naturally they fitted into everyday life.
That shaped how I think about construction and longevity. DRAYTON came from wanting to make new pieces with that same quality, starting with boxers, using good fabric, familiar patterns and proper construction. All made in London.
Every piece designed, packed and shipped by me.
