Why We Still Make Our Boxer Shorts in England

In a world of fast fashion and globalised supply chains, we’ve chosen a different route — one that prioritises quality, craft, and locality.

At DRAYTON, every pair of our unisex boxer shorts is made in England. It’s not the cheapest way to do things, but we believe it’s the right way. Here’s why.

The Value of “Made in England”

The “Made in England” label isn’t just a tagline. It stands for something: attention to detail, premium fabric, and heritage tailoring. By producing locally, we stay hands-on throughout the process — from fabric sourcing to final stitching — and ensure every piece that leaves our workshop meets our standard.

Built to Last. Not Just to Sell.

Our boxers are made from 100% crisp cotton poplin, a fabric typically found in shirting not underwear. We chose it for its structure, breathability, and ability to hold its shape. These aren’t the boxers you throw away after a season. They’re cut to be lived in: from bed to street, city to countryside.

The Fit: Inspired by the Past, Designed for Now

Inspired by vintage menswear, our design blends timeless silhouettes with a modern unisex fit. High-waisted, roomy through the leg, and finished with details that matter — imitation pearl buttons, front label, and clean fly finish. We’ve taken cues from heritage tailoring and reimagined them for everyday life.

Why We Don’t Mass Produce

We produce in limited runs, often in small batches. That means your pair is part of a considered, deliberate release — not a warehouse full of the same thing. It's slow fashion done properly. If you’ve bought from us before, thank you. If not, this is your invitation.
